  4. Hazel and all of George’s family…I only met George briefly, but during that short time, I did see that George was an incredibly special human being. I was amazed by his desire to serve others and lend his set of hands and feet wherever he saw an opportunity to make a difference. He was inspiring and he truly exemplified how to live life with purpose and meaning. I am grateful to have met you George. Hazel, May God’s peace and love surround you and your loved ones in this time of loss and sorrow.

  5. Susanne Koolma :

    Hi family of George,
I was so sad to hear of George’s recent passing. I spent a few weeks with him last summer in Kenya, and George touched me in two ways. First, it was unbelievable how much endurance, energy, and strength he had, especially given his age. His positive attitude was so greatly appreciated.
Secondly, he always spoke so lovingly about his wife Hazel. It was clear that he missed her dearly and appreciated her so much.
I will never forget George and his inspiration in my life.
God bless you during this difficult time. You will be in my prayers.
    With love,
    Susanne (Toronto, Ontario)

  6. I met George many years ago. He was just starting to look for his dealership experience in Olds. Following that I was fortunate to again call on him when he was with Shaw GMC. During both of these occasions I was his Service Representitive from GM. Later on I again ran into him at the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank where he was picking up food to distribute to people that were unable to collect their own food.
    He was quite a guy!
My condolences to the family, we will be thinking of him.

  7. We at the food bank are very sorry for your loss. We knew George as a Care Connect volunteer who delivered our hampers to clients in need. He was always cheerful and had a wondeful wit which he would subject us too quite often. I was very sad when he divulged to me his illness and it has not been the same without him. Blessings joan Holland

  12. Garry & Linda Corbett :

God has called one of His choicest ones home. No doubt He welcomed George into heaven by saying “Well done my child”. Over the years watching George, God would no doubt have smiled at George’s heart and He would have been thrilled at his devotion – as we did. We were privileged to have had the opportunity to know and work with George. He will be missed until we meet again.
