July 30, 2013 – Calgary, AB
Valetta Johansen, beloved wife of Edward of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the age of 68 years.
Val felt absolute joy in her gardening, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. No matter what went on in her life, family was everything. “Without family, you do not have a life.” In a room filled with people, if Val was talking to you, you were the only person there that mattered. Val’s laughter and zest for life was contagious. Her loyalty to family and friends was never ending. We are all better people for having had Val in our lives.
Val is survived by her husband Edward “Joe”; children Jody-Lynn Buhler (Ernie), Thomas, Daniel, and Dawn; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother Zora Riddell; brother William “Bill” Riddell (Jan); and sister Sharon Fisher.
She was predeceased by her father William Riddell Sr.
