Thomas Alexander Jobin, beloved husband of Helen Jobin of Calgary, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, October 12, 2007 at the age of 78 years.
Tom was born in Winnipeg, MB in April 1929. He began his career with the Bank of Montreal in Manitoba in 1947 and enjoyed a successful forty-two year career with the bank, primarily in Calgary. While working as an inspector in Edmonton, he met and married Helen Kinsman in 1957. Respected and admired by colleagues and associates, he retired from the corporate banking group in May 1989. While he enjoyed his career with the bank, his greatest joy was his wife and family and he was most proud of his children’s and grandchildren’s successes. He was also a long-time supporter of both the Flames and the Stampeders. Tom will be fondly remembered by his Friday night poker club of over forty years. He was also an active member of the BMO Pensioners Society.
Thomas will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty years Helen and their children and spouses, Janice of Calgary, Mark and Jane of Calgary and John and Betty of Mississauga, ON. Pops will be missed by his seven grandchildren, Christie, Matthew, Samantha, Thomas, Megan, Jonah, and Lauren, who will carry cherished memories of him forever. He was predeceased by his parents Clayt and Lillian; and his brother Michael.
