JEANSON, Theresa Eugenia (nee Bodnarchuk)

February 6, 1944 – July 16, 2012

Theresa Jeanson passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16 2012 at the age of 68 years after a 16 year battle with cancer

She was born on February 6, 1944 in Wynyard, Saskatchewan.

Theresa is survived by her three daughters; Lenita (Dominick) Barrett, Natashia Jeanson, and Andrea (Andrew) Luchia, all of Calgary. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren; Zachary, Isabelle and Xayden, as well as her furry grandchildren; Connor, Sarge, Gizmo and Hooch. In addition, Theresa is survived by two brothers; Donald (Glenda) Bodnarchuk and William (Bonnie) Bodnarchuk of Wynyard and a sister, Iris Bodnarchuk of Calgary. Mourning her passing are her nephews; Peter Bodnarchuk of Wynyard and Paul (Angelica) Bodnarchuk of Escondido, California and her nieces; Mylena and Trisha Bodnarchuk of Calgary, Pamela Bodnarchuk of Cold Lake and Tanya Bodnarchuk of Regina, as well as extended family and friends.

Theresa is predeceased by her parents, Pete and Lena Bodnarchuk and her sister, Patricia.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 – 45th Street South West) on Friday, July 20, 2012at 7:00 p.m.

Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 – 45th Street South West) on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

We would like to thank all the nurses, oncologists and surgeons who provided care to our mother, especially Dr. Robert Manderson. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. David Falk and the incredible staff and volunteers at the Agapé Hospice Manor for the outstanding and compassionate care given to mom during her three month stay.

    We have been thinking of all of the good times that we have had together – especially around the times of the Calgary Stampede. There are so many cherished memories from the past 25 years – these will never be forgotten. She will be truly missed. We were fortunate to have had our paths cross. I know Theresa was a great mother, sister and friend, and this loss will leave a great hole in all of your live’s. Theresa was always so kind and cheerful. She was always able to make others feel good about themselves! You are strong and capable, and even though it seems impossible right now, I know you will find a way to get through this.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Theresa for many years at the GSC-Calgary. She was a person I frequently visited as I passed by her office. We became friends. Mostly we talked about her grandchildren (the love of her life) and about plants. I will miss her.
