  15. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Jack, knowing you Laurie gives me some appreciation for what a great fellow he must have been. Since he was an avid Flames fan, I know we would have had something very important in common! My 4 year old Noah John and my 2 year old Jack would have liked your Jack a whole bunch (for perhaps somewhat obvious reasons!). Bless you Laurie and remember that your sweet and lovely spirit are admired and cherished by many.

  29. Laurie,
I want to express my sincere condolences to you and your family. Jack and I have a lot in common. Love of family was always the top of our conversations. He was so proud of you and his kids and always let me know how they were doing. Unlike others, we didn’t talk much about hockey. We enjoyed sharing things like holiday trips we planned to take and just stuff. I will miss him and our little talks deeply.
I’m blessed to have known him. May you find comfort in the memories of your life together. I will be thinking of you and Jack often. May god bless you all. Sincerely, John Demmers

  30. Laurie and family.
I am heartbroken to hear about Jack’s passing. He was truly one of the good guys in our industry and he will be missed by those who knew him well. Jack and I have known each other since his Crane days, but it wasn’t until be began working at Bartle & Gibson that I truly got to know him. We had some long talks about life, about where we have traveled, what we wanted to do still, but mostly talked about family. I know he was looking forward to retiring in the near future and how excited he was about his life with you and the opportunities to travel together and visit your children.
I will miss him very much, but it will not compare to your loss. My sincere condolences.

  35. Gordon (Butch) Cunningham :

I loved the guy! was a gentle spirit always a happy go lucky attitude. We did have some laughs over the years .. I got a great picture of him from Christmas in Hawkwood, he’s wearing a fur coat that I got Mom for Christmas and I’m holding him like a bride, he’s got the biggest smile on his face that mirrors his good natured fun side, what a awesome smile. I know there is a a party in heaven as Jesus welcomes one of his own. I’m sure hes visiting with his ancestors and folks that have gone on before. He went with his boots on! I hurt for you and the kids and send my love. I guess you got one more angel watching over you and he’s in good company. All my love to you and the kids, his family. Love will never leave the hearts that he touched.

  51. I worked beside Jack for the Last Year and a bit and every day we would talk and have some laughs. Working isn’t the same now, not having him there. He used to go for his walks around the building and when ever someone came and asked were he was I always said he was on a Jack Lap, it caught on and everyone knew if he wasn’t at his desk that he was on a Jack Lap. He was a truly great kind soul and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
