January 19, 1914 – December 29, 2012

With sadness we report the death of our cousin and aunt, Helen Jacobson, on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the age of 98 years.

Helen was born on January 19, 1914 in Barons, AB to Andrew and Catherine Jacobson. She went to school in Barons and then to University in Edmonton in 1934, becoming a dietician in 1940, working in several cities, ending in Calgary, AB at the General Hospital and retiring on December 19, 1974.

Helen is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins in Alberta, Ontario and California and by her special cousin Mary (Walter) Elliot in Calgary and their children. She was predeceased by her parents Catherine and Andrew; brothers, Lawrence (Edna) and Wesley (Frances); and sister Irene (Jim) Morrison.

At Helen’s request, there will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place. Condolences may be forwarded through
