Jacobs, Dietert Egbert

Dietert Jacobs, beloved husband of Patti of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Sarcee Hospice on Monday, April 5, 2004 at the age of 53 years, surrounded by his loving family.

Dietert was born in Eindhoven, Holland on October 15, 1950, and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1952. He was raised in Edmonton and received his drafting certificate at NAIT. Dietert spent his career in the oil industry as a CAD operator and was employed with Greenpipe Industries at the time of his passing. Dietert loved the game of golf and was a member of the Rocky Mountain Golf Association for many years prior to his illness. He had a love of music and sang with the Deer Park United Church Choir.

Dietert leaves to mourn Patti his wife of twenty-nine and a half years; and his children Jason, Ryan, and Jenni. He is survived by a sister Ineke (R.B.) of Calgary; and brothers, Tem (Jennifer) and Albert (Suzanne) of Edmonton; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Temmo and Margaretha; his in-laws Jim and Anita Morrison and brother-in-law Gordon Morrison.

A Celebration of Dietert’s life will be held at Deer Park United Church (77 Deer Point Road S.E.) on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Jennifer Ferguson officiating. A Private Family Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
