  3. I was saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. I got to know him in the early 80’s when we worked together for the ALCB. Our friendship continued with events at the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association and even lived across the street from each other for a period. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jackson family.

I was very fortunate to see my Uncle Jimmy in 2002. My Aunt Emma took my sister and I to the Calgary Stampede and the Calgary Zoo. Sometimes when I looked at uncle Jimmy I saw my mother (his sister Jane) Their smiles were very similar.
Aunt Emma, Carolyn and Andrew please know that our thoughts are with you at this time of sorrow. God bless all of you.

  10. Amy and I are very sad to hear of Uncle Jim’s passing. We had hoped that time would have been on our side and we could have visited you all again with our new family. You both are very special to us and were very kind and helpful to us during our time living in Alberta. We really enjoyed our visits and time staying with you and I enjoyed golfing with Jim. Amy and I still remember Uncle Jim’s excitement for going out for breakfast to A&W and his fantastic butter tarts. We think about you all the time and Uncle Jim will be missed more that you know. We love you and are sorry for your loss.

    Love Ed, Amy and Noah

  12. Dear Emma,
I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. My memories of Carl and me with you and Jim are so numerous, wonderful, and vivid: from the first time we stayed with you before going to Hawaii, then the many times following, to Jim being Master of Ceremonies @ our wedding, our delightful visits with the Danish cousins, your 25th anniversary and Jim’s 60th birthday celebrations.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Carolyn and Andrew @ this difficult time. Sincerely, Marlene and family

I am sorry that this is so late. Uncle Jimmy was my favourite uncle. Funny you may think, but it is true. I had only seen him a few times in my life as we live in Ontario. I remember vividly the picture we had of him in his unifrom along with his kilt. I haven’t to date been man enough to wear a skirt but he did it proud! LOL! I just felt good whenever I was around him. Aunt Emma and Carolyn, I remember our trip out there to Lethbridge 40 years ago and all the beauty of Alberta and the mountains. I wish I could of seen all of you together again. I am lucky though to have all good memories of the few moments in life I have shared with all of you. If there is such a thing as heaven, Jim will be there waiting for you alongside my mother.
    R.I.P. Uncle Jimmy
