On July 31, 2012, news was received that Pearl Hynes had peacefully passed away. Pearl was born in in Arnold’s Cove, NF, and had three brothers, Melvin, Scott, and Bert; and two sisters, Mable and Shirley. At the age of thirty-one, Pearl moved to Toronto, with her six sons, Howie, Randy, Dennis, Dale, Barry, and Terry; and her only daughter, Michelle. Pearl spent thirty-seven years in Toronto and there she suffered the loss of her sister Mable and her sons Dale and Barry. In 2005, Pearl moved to Calgary with her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. Shortly after moving, she became ill and began dialysis, and under special care of her daughter Michelle, she continued on dialysis for seven years. Pearl was well known for her high spirits, spending countless hours telling stories to make people laugh, and she enjoyed a good game of bingo. Pearl leaves along with her children, four daughters-in-law, Judith, Marilyn, Jean, and Dana; one son-in-law, Winston; eleven grandchildren, Tammy, Jorge, Tina, Ryan, Josh, Jeffrey, Joey, Dennis, Phillip, Jerry, and Barry; and eight great grandchildren, Tiyanna, Adrien, Thalia, Ricky, Brandon, Jonathan, McKenna, and Landen. Pearl will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
