HUTCHINGS, George William

September 19, 1916 – May 7, 2012

George passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, just minutes after giving a big smile to his family.

George is predeceased by Maxine (Ditto), his loving wife of 56 years, and his son Douglas George, who died in December 2011.

He leaves behind his daughter Carol (m. Andy McCready) and her children Heather and Andrew, his granddaughter Georgia and her children Ajamoné, Shikaya, Shamane, Moriah and Daija and his granddaughter Leticia.

George had a long and successful life. He spent his early years in Barons, Alberta as a wheat farmer. Later, he was a pilot in the Air Force. In Calgary he built a successful career in residential construction, real-estate sales and land development. George and Max were able to travel the world.
