HUNTER, Marlene Ann (nee Kemp)

December 29, 1938 – January 4, 2012

Marlene Hunter of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the age of 73 years.

She was born December 29, 1938, in Welwyn, SK. After graduating from high school, she trained as a nurse at Regina Grey Nuns Hospital. She came to Calgary in the 1960s and worked as an OR nurse at the Alberta Children’s Hospital until her retirement.

She married Jim (Brian) Hunter. Marlene was predeceased by Jim, Jim’s parents, brother, sister, sister-in law and nephew and by her parents, five sisters, brother, brother-in-law and niece. Marlene is survived by her brother Jack Kemp (Jean), her sister Audrey Irvine , her nieces Heather, Vicki and Diana, Jim’s nieces Sharon, Sandy and Brenda, ten great nieces and great nephews, one great- great niece, other extended family and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, or to the charity of their choice.
