HUGHES, Roland (Rolly) Allan

September 12, 1927– April 10, 2013

Rolly Hughes of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the age of 85 years.

Rolly enjoyed a rewarding career with Winchester making numerous life long friendships along the way. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, gardening and most of all laughing and visiting with good friends and his family.

Rolly will be sadly missed and is survived by his children and their spouses, Debbie Saklofske, Kelly Hughes (Tobi Hetherington) and Laurie Hughes (Paul Lerner); grandchildren Kara and Daniel Saklofske, Krista and James Lerner and his niece and nephew Judy Schmalz and John Hughes. Rolly was predeceased by his wife Irene in 2002 and his brothers John and Ernie Hughes.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. James’ Catholic Church (5504 – 20 street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rolly’s name to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Society 63 Cornell Road NW, Calgary, AB T2L 0L4.
