It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chase, beloved and treasured son of Fran and Alan, loving big brother of Nicole and Danielle, who passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 2, 2012.
Chase was born in Calgary, resided in Elbow Valley and recently graduated from Springbank High School. Chase was a natural athlete who excelled in many sports, but especially enjoyed his role as rightwing with the Southern Alberta Triple A Selects and the Springbank Hockey Association. Chase also enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, scuba diving in Belize, wakeboarding, ATVing and sport fishing. He loved to work with his hands and built many things out of wood including fabulous bike jumps. Chase embraced new experiences, forging new bonds with family and friends through his travels to Europe, the United States, Belize, Canada and annual family visits to Idaho and Saskatchewan.
Chase was known for his friendly disposition and positive nature. A compassionate soul, Chase garnered many friendships wherever he went. He was a loyal and dependable, thoughtful and caring friend. Chase will be forever cherished and remembered for his kind and generous heart, and great sense of humour. He was looking forward to start his first year of Petroleum Engineering Degree at Montana Tech, in Butte, Montana.
Chase is survived by his parents Fran and Alan, sisters Nicole and Danielle, grandmothers Ann Pattison “Oma” and Anne Hudye “Grandmama”; aunts and uncles, Gord (Lenore) Pattison, David (Jackie) Pattison, Sharon (Barry) Larson, Donna (Jim) Kilmister, Derryl (Shelly) Hudye, Randy (Elaine) Hudye, Patty (Kevin) Kololuk; cousins, Gerad, Justin, Cassandra, Thomas, Chad, Carla, Brennan, Kristyn, Amber, Nicholas, Jeremy, Keylan, Avery, Skylar and Jake.He was predeceased by grandfathers Ken (1998) and Nick (1996). He leaves to mourn girlfriend Keverly and many friends and classmates.
Relatives and Friends wishing to pay their respects may do so at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Corner of Highway 22 and James Walker, Cochrane, AB), on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. A Celebration of Chase’s Life will follow from 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com .
