HOSHAL – Carey Harvey

August 11, 1964 – May 12, 2010

Carey Harvey Hoshal beloved husband of Lori of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the age of 45 years after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carey was a fun-loving person and he was like a “big kid”. For this reason, children of all ages were drawn to him. Carey had a positive outlook on life and he was looking forward to his future with his wife Lori doing all the fun things they had planned.

Carey was looking forward to watching his granddaughter Nevaeh Carey Ann grow up and unfortunately he was diagnosed with cancer shortly before she was born. They say that when one life ends, another begins. Nothing could be further from the truth in Carey and Nevaeh’s situation.

Carey’s carefree attitude was instilled by everyone he met and will be sadly missed.

Besides his loving wife Lori, Carey is survived by his children, January, Jeffery, Amber (Andrew), and Justin; granddaughter Nevaeh Carey Ann; father Peter (Sandra); mother Sharon; grandma Marion, whom he loved dearly; grandpa Bob; brothers, Jim (Wanda), Randy (Carol); stepbrother Erin (Anne); stepsister Angela; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Carey was predeceased by his brother Richard.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Southwood Hospice, 211 Heritage Drive S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 1M9 Telephone: (403) 252-0620. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Southwood Hospice for their care and compassion.

In living memory of Carey Hoshal, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Fish Creek Chapel, 14441 BANNISTER ROAD S.E. Telephone: (403) 256-9575.

I wish to convey my deepest condolences to Lori and the family. I met Carey & Lori when Tim and I first moved to Alberta. Carey was a wonderful man who was always happy and always there to protect his friends and family. He was the kind of guy you could always depend on.

I have great memories of Carey and the fun times we had with Carey and Lori.

I know God will take care of Carey until him & Lori meet again.

Carey, rest in peace for now you are in God’s hands and you are free of pain.

Lori and the family, may God bless you and help you through this difficult time.

    My Deepest Sympathy,
    Paula Gracie
