HORNER – Michael Thomas

May 15, 2008 – July 9, 2010

Michael Horner, beloved son of Samantha and Thomas Horner, brother of Alexandra, grandson of Edgar and Susan Horner of Hanna AB, grandson of Richard and Donna Osborne of Edmonton and great-grandson of Mildred Horner of Shawville PQ, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010 at the age of 2 years.

Mikey was born to a very close and loving family; it was this feeling of love and security that allowed him to develop a very outgoing personality. Mikey loved interacting with people and was quite a flirt with the ladies. He had many loves in his short time with us; horses, the Lion King, puppies, lollipops, his blankie, YaYa (Alex), pancakes and cream, helping mom in the kitchen, donkeys, chicken eggs, and jumping on the trampoline.

Michael is also survived by John, Maio, Emma and Noam Osborne; Lina Horner and Bob van Duivenbooden; Kelly and Ali Seifeddine; and a very loving extended family

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. 12. Allan Stevens :

You do not know me but my heart and thoughts are with you now and beyond…my two year old grandson drowned last November…and I have some understanding of the extreme grief and pain your entire family and friends are going through. There are no words to describe it. I found grief counselling from Bob Glasgow at Rockeyview to be very important. Also, the following:

“Those we love don’t go away.
They walk beside us every day.
    Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.”

There is not a day that goes by that you do not love and miss and want…things to be different.

    My family’s deepest sympathy.
    Allan Stevens

  13. Donna Bernreuther :

From one parent to another I know the pain and agony of losing a child. My son was much older than Mikey when he died 12 years ago. My son David was 15, so still a child and I was devastated. Over the years the pain has lessened somewhat and I have learned to live with my loss after seeking support. Please know others feel for your family when hearing of the loss of another (your) child. I am sending my thoughts and prayers to your family with the sincerst regrets, Donna Bernreuther
