William “Bill” Arthur Holt beloved husband of the late Marilyn Holt of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the age of 77 years.
Bill passed away at the Foothills Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Bill will be dearly missed and remembered by his four children and their spouses Susanne (Rob), Greg (Heather), Sherri, and Geoff, his nine grandchildren Kyrsten (Mike), Michael, Derek, Kasia (Ryan), Shirai, Jessalyn, Zevan, Kyrissa and Trinity, his great-grand daughter Ainsley, his two brothers Irv (Sharon), Rick (Sheila), sister Barb (John) and many close family members of his late wife. Bill was predeceased by his wife Marilyn as well as several close relatives.
Bill was an accountant with Shell Canada for 27 years. After his retirement he enjoyed his employment and golfing at Earl Grey Golf Course. He also devoted his time to many worthwhile causes, especially his passion, as a warrior for the Multiple Myeloma Support Group. Bill cherished family, friends, and living life to the fullest. Bill’s kindness, generosity, strength, and compassion will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 – 34th Street S.W.) on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
