Kathy, beloved wife of Rodger Holt, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the age of 65 years after a lengthy battle with cancer. Kathy bravely faced the challenge of her journey and was comforted by her immediate family at her side in the final hours at home.
Kathy was born in Prince George, BC and lived in many small towns and cities while growing up. She met Rodger in Calgary while working as a secretary at Gulf Canada. They were married on February 14, 1970. Kathy was an extremely loving and supportive mom and grandma. She was very creative and spent many hours making beautiful quilts, painting, and crafting. Another one of her passions was to travel by motorhome to explore new places in Canada and the USA.
Besides her loving husband Rodger, Katherine is survived by three children, Erika Holt, Marin Boyd (Jason) and Kris Holt (Jocelyn); four grandchildren, Ty and Owen Boyd, and Tanner and Tristan Holt; sister Carol Kerr (David); and niece Sarah Danyluk. She was predeceased by sister Barbara Danyluk in 1996, mother Alice George in 2009 and father Bruce George in 2012.
