Don Holman, beloved husband of Irene Holman (nee Arnot) of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the age of 84 years.
Don was well known in the automotive industry for many years.
Besides his loving wife of sixty years, Don is survived by his four children, Beverley (Andrew) Laight, Daryl (Hollie) Holman, Dawn (Mark) Weststrate, Rick (Nicole) Holman; step-son David (Gisela) Arnot; eight grandchildren, Serena (Joel) Wilson, Ryan (Megan) Laight, Matthew (Jennifer) Laight, Kendra Holman, Cole Weststrate, Carson Weststrate, Conner Holman and Rylan Holman; three great-grandchildren, Abby, Madeline and Griffin. He is also survived by a sister Bev (Lloyd) Ferguson and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his sister Irene Vikse and his grandson Gabriel Holman.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.

During my early years at Varsity, Don was always kind and a mentor to me and many other people. Men like him are the reason I have stayed in the Car business since the early 80’s.
