  1. Brenda Peters :

    Dear Joan and Dave,

I am deeply saddened to hear of Doug’s passing. I have many fond memories of the times Doug and I shared growing up as young teens. Doug so loved that Cobra car, playing air guitar and hanging out with our friends. Many of my memories revolve around your parents Art and Queenie and sitting around their kitchen table. Art never could seem to keep the mustard off his shirt even with a towel to act as a bib and Queenie would often scold him. Queenie made the best toasted fried ham sandwich I have ever tasted, I understood quickly why it was Doug’s favorite. Your family was especially kind and understanding towards me during my pregnancy and I can still remember with ease the special flowers (poodle) that were sent to me after our baby was born. It is difficult to believe he has passed at such a young age. My sincere sympathies on Doug’s passing. I am sure Art and Queenie were waiting to greet him with open arms.
