HODL, Louis Otto

March 20, 1935 – Winnipeg, MB
October 22, 2013 – Sundre, AB

Louis Hodl, beloved husband of Lilly Hodl of Sundre, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the age of 78 years.

Louis and Lilly were married in Calgary on July 24, 1954. Louis was employed with Imperial Oil for thirty-seven years until his retirement in 1989.

Louis will be dearly missed by Lilly, his loving wife of fifty-nine years; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Cindy, and Randy and Lana; six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Ryan, Karlee, Stephanie, Shawn, and Shane; brothers-in-law, Harry, Fred (Ilene) and Les (Val) Litke; sister-in-law Bev Murphy; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Louis Hodl and Lilly’s parents Rudolf and Olga Litke.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.     Sorry to hear of your loss of Louis’ passing. I worked with Louis at Imperial Oil in Edmonton for a number of years in the late sixties and early seventies. I have many memories of our years working together.
