  4. Ken was my phys ed teacher at Western Canada in 1955. Some things I learned from him then, I was able to use through life. It was so great to meet up with Ken at a later date at the WAGGLE golf tournaments, where we had some laughs and of course reminisced about the days at Western. Ken we will miss you. Stu

  8. Jack MacDonald :

I first met Ken when he joined the Langley Lions Club in the 1980s. He and Donna were very involved in the activities of the club. During one of our dinner meetings Ken told me about the White Rock Sailing Coop and he subsequently signed me up to a membership. The experience sailing with Ken in the Gulf Islands and the San Juans introduced me to a wonderful retirement activity which continued for over twenty years. Ken was also a member of the gentlemen’s “Elite Poker Group”, made up mostly of retired teachers and administrators, which has been in existence in Langley for almost a half century.
    Ken will be missed.
My sincere sympathy to the Hodgert family.
