June 2, 2014 – Okotoks, AB
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norman “Norm” Henry of Okotoks on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the age of 77 years.
Norm was a professional driver who loved the highway, and once retired, worked for Tyler at Chill-Out Insulation part time. He was a wonderful carpenter and did much work wherever he lived, renovating until his health kept him from doing so. Norm and his niece Colleen had many wonderful memories of their escapades getting chickens, a miniature horse, and working together on a camper-trailer rental business.
Norm is survived by his two children Valerie (Jeff) Thompson and Russell (Suzanne) Henry; three grandchildren; two sisters Betty Cassac and Sal Davie; and brother Jack (Carol) Henry. He also leaves behind his adored niece Colleen (Tyler) Haar; great-niece Jordin; great-nephews, Keith, Kevin and Cody (Gabby) Penner; and great-great-nephew Bodhi, the apple of his eye. He was predeceased by his parents David and Annabel Henry, and by his beloved Charlotte, the love of his life.
A Celebration of Norm’s Life will be held at the family’s home in Okotoks, AB on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. (Call 403-938-9689 for information and directions).
