Bill Henley of Calgary passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital on Friday, July 18, 2008 at age 79 years.
Bill will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who always put his family first in his life. Even during his long and courageous battle with COPD, he made time to reach out and help others. Bill worked as a financial analyst with Amoco Canada for over thirty years. He enjoyed camping, a good game of golf and time on his computer.
Bill will be dearly missed by his wife and best friend of almost fifty-seven years, Donna; his children Grant (Patti), Lynda (Gerry), Cathy (Wayne), Dean (Colette); and by his grandchildren Tom, Carly, Jenna, Tanner, Laura and Emily. He will also be greatly missed by his brother Bob (Margo) of Edmonton, AB and his sister Pat Satterwhite (Gary) of Owensboro, KY.
Bill’s words of wisdom to all of us were “Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.” We won’t forget Dad, and we will remember you when we do.
To honour Bill’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
