Joseph Andre Lucien (Lou) Hebert beloved husband of Yvonne of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the age of 93 years.
Lou was born in South Lancaster, ON and came from a family of twelve. Lou attended college in Ottawa before being stationed in Calgary with the Royal Canadian Air Force at Currie Barracks. During the Second World War, he worked as an airframe mechanic. He also worked as a buyer and manager for National Department Stores for thirty-three years, followed by work as a courier for Scotiabank. Lou was a long-time member of St. Mary’s and Holy Name parishes, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Besides his loving wife Yvonne (nee Bourassa), Lou is survived by daughter Lou-Anne Regnier (Doris); sons Paul (Alana) and Brian (Brian “BJ”); granddaughter Lyndsay Kreuger (Jordan); grandson David Hebert; brothers Gerard and Marcel (Paulette); and sister Lucille. He is also survived by stepchildren Fernand (Eileen) Bourassa, Leoni (Brian) Lyttle, Laurent (Cathy) Bourassa, Yvette (Lou) Obrigavitch, Alphonse (Bella) Bourassa, Germain (Billy-Jo) Bourassa, Normand (Lana) Bourassa, Jeanne Delanoy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren. Lou was predeceased by his first wife Shirley (nee Abram) in 1989 after forty-four years of marriage. He was also predeceased by sisters Juliette, Berthe, Rolande, Rosa, Ernestine, Alvina, Rita; and brother Roland.
