Wilf passed away peacefully at the Rockyview Hospital on Monday June 17, 2013 at the age of 90 years.

Wilf was born February 11, 1923 in Donalda, AB to Lloyd and Rosa Hearonemus. Wilf attended Skybo School grades 1-9 and high school in Donalda AB. Following high school, he joined the air force in Edmonton, AB as an aircraft mechanic. On April 2, 1944, Wilf married Vi (Viola) Richman in Donalda, AB. They then moved to Calgary, where Wilf took up cabinet making. He worked for 8 years with Watson Construction, and in 1955 started working at the General Hospital, starting as a carpenter, working his way up to Maintenance Supervisor for 30 years.

During this time, Wilf and Vi started building their first home in Renfrew, and lived in the basement, while completing the main floor. Over the years, Wilf took great pleasure in building his own boat, trailer and canvas cover. This gave the family many summers of fun water skiing, and tenting at Cocolalla, Idaho. He loved to tinker with his Harley, and later, his chevy cars. A 57 and 65 Belaire, and an 86 Caprice Classic, as well as his Frontier Motorhome. In his spare time, Wilf enjoyed fishing, golfing (even got a hole in one) and skidooing at the farm. His loving nature, patience, and heart of gold was felt by all. He was always helping friends fix something. Throughout the years, Wilf and Vi would join friends for a bit of fun at the Strathmore Stampede.

Besides his loving wife Vi of 69 years, he is survived by his daughters Debi Hearonemus, Darlene (Frank) Starke; grandson Cody Starke; sister Kathy Steward; children Oliver Steward and Karen Clarke; sons Gaylen & Owen; Rod Steward; daughter Charisse; niece Audry (Peter) Adamson; daughter Kathleen McKinney; son Johnathan; nephew Wayne (Peggy) Hearonemus and daughter Leah.
