We were very sorry to hear from David that his Father, Marvin, had passed away. We have fond memories of Marvin and his family when we were neighbors, many years ago in Ottawa. Our deepest sympathy goes to all his family and especially to David, Robert, and Stewart, who our children grew up with. Marvin and the Hayne Family will always remain in our loving thoughts.

  5. Kent McLean, Ottawa :

David, I met your Dad when I came to Ottawa in 1956. We boarded at the same house. We became good friends. He was from Trenton, I from Belleville. He would often drop me off on his way to Trenton on weekends. We had so many good times together, the cottage, Montreal trips, and outings with our friends.
I attended at his wedding and he was at mine. I remember you as a baby. We lost touch when I began to move around the country with my job. Although we hadn’t talked in many years I felt a real loss of such a fine person.

    Dearest Yvonne,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your “Marv”, and know it has been a long struggle with his failing health. The struggle is over and you can be at peace knowing that you did all you could to make Marv’s last days as comfortable as possible. Marv was lucky to have you, as you him. I also know you had many happy years to reflect on to bring you smiles through your sorrow. Take care Yvonne.

    Dear Yvonne & Family,
We were sorry to hear from Skip of Marv’s passing. Sorry you had all been through a bad couple of years or more. Please accept our sincere sympathy for your loss at this time.
We had hoped to get to the Memorial Service but find that night driving in an unfamiliar area doesn’t always go well.

    Fond regards, Bev and Stuart
