It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Hayden on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the age of 74 years.
Charles was born in 1938 in Rocky Mountain House Alberta. He passed away at the George Boyack Centre in Calgary Alberta. Although he lived in Calgary for many years Charlie spent his childhood years in rural Saskatchewan with his family. He moved on to have a successful career as a race track groomer, which he enjoyed for twenty seven years and throughout three provinces until health issues forced him to retire.
Charlie kept active doing crafts and he enjoyed giving them away. He also enjoyed playing cards especially crib with any who wanted to challenge him. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. He will be sadly missed by all.
Charles is survived by his sister Doris Corbiel of Glaslyn Saskatchewan; special friend Linda Sperling of Calgary, Alberta; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased his mother Frances; Two brothers Ora and baby Roy; and Sister Doreen.
At Charles’s request no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
