David was born in North Bay, Ontario on June 27 1944. Ambitious and inquisitive by nature, he completed his Bachelors and Masters degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Toronto. Following, he was awarded the prestigious Athlone Fellowship and attended the University of Manchester where he completed his Doctorate. After returning to Canada he courted the love of his life and married Levinia Patulot Hawkins on October 4, 1975. They moved to Calgary to start a family where he became an active member in the local community. As a consultant he was known for his integrity and work ethic; and was a trusted advisor to his clients and peers. Later in his professional career he started his own firm, which proudly donned his family name. David was a dedicated and wonderful father and generously provided his three children the opportunity to grow and experience life through sports and travel.
