Michael Ron Harrison (Harasym) was born on October 3, 1930 in Duvenay, AB, and passed away at the age of 76 years after a short illness and a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Mike is lovingly remembered by his children Kathy (Gord), Michelle (Stephan), Mike Jr., and Ray; and his close friend and mother of his children Jeannine Harrison. He will be missed immensely by his grandchildren Jesse & Karly of Calgary, and Jeremi, Jordan & Chloe of Montreal, who thought he was the best grandpa in the world. His good friends Phyllis of Calgary, Norm & Eilleen of Edmonton, and Tom & Helen Plas of Mantoba. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters; Bill, Pete, Nick, John, Helen, Mary, Rose, and Ann. There were 15 of them altogether (Bless his mother!) He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Mike.

Dad grew up in Alberta then moved to Thunder Bay in his early years where he got into the logging business, which he continued for most of his life. Mike and Jeannine raised a family in Ontario, but returned to the Wild West in the late ’70’s. Dad loved life, family, traveling, and especially two stepping. He was a country boy at heart.
