November 8, 1929 – August 27, 2013
Julia Harlos passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the age of 83 years with her daughter Brenda Lee and sister Doris by her side.
Julia was a quiet little lady whose greatest joy in life was her daughter and grandsons. She enjoyed family gatherings, time in her garden, and baking cookies. Julia was terribly lonely after the passing of her loving husband Jake and sister Alice. She is smiling in heaven now as she is reunited with them.
Julia is survived by her daughter Brenda Lee Kuhn (Les) of Calgary; grandchildren Nicholas Kuhn (Nicola) of Calgary and Harrison Kuhn of Calgary and fiancé Meredith Goff of Toledo, Ohio; sister Doris Stewart (Ray), Jane Weis (Ron), Joey Jackson (Joe); and many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband Jacob Harlos, sister Alice Basaraba; brothers William, Carl, George, and Peter Basaraba; and her loving parents Norman and Anna Basaraba (nee Bey).
A Celebration of Julia’s Life will be held at Crestmont Residents Hall, 12400 Crestmont Blvd SW on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
