Condolence Messages

  1. Mary-Ellen Brownridge :

i would like to express my sincere condolences to Shirley’s family and dedicated friend Al. I know Al that you there for her as she was going through her difficult time with her health issues, you always went the extra mile. I have many fond memories of Shirley, we sure did have a lot of fun and lots of laughs. Thankfully we did get a chance to reminisce almost two years ago, prior to my moving to Ontario. Was hoping to see her this summer when I go out for a visit. I will miss not not being able to do that.
Again my condolences to you all.

  2. John & Marion Lompart :

Dear Al, we are sorry for your loss of a very close and dear friend, you were there for her when she lost her husband and then taking on the roll of a friend and care giver when she herself became ill, you were there for Shirley when she needed you.

  3. Shirley was an amazing lady. She was so determined to persevere through her tough times,..and when her spirits were challenged, Al was there to make sure she was walking, and encouraging her in ways only he knew. She made me laugh, and I felt so appreciated. I won’t drive past the turn off to her home without thinking of her. Al, you were truly a blessing in her life, and although the next while will be very tough, I am sure she would have wanted you to ‘carry on’ enjoying Bragg Creek, going to one of your restaurants, being thankful for good weather. To her family–especially her sister’s from Saskatchewan, she really enjoyed seeing you in this past year. The positive energy of your visits stuck with her for weeks. I hope you all find comfort in this difficult time from those around you. Sending my sympathies,..

  5. Maxine and Ken :

    Dear Al and family,
Another wonderful person has now left us to continue her journey. Shirley was a lovely person, very compassionate and very loving.
Unfortunately for us, we did not have the pleasure of meeting Shirley until just a few short years ago.
Thank you Al, for being a trusted friend to Shirley and for the role you played as caregiver. No one will ever know how much this meant to Shirley.
    God bless you all.

  6. Kent & Deanna Wilson :

We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Eli, Sonya, Sheila, and their families, and to Shirley’s dear friend Al. Al, you were always there for Shirley, being a good friend, taking care of her when she was so sick, staying by her side. We did appreciate you keeping us up-to-date on how she was doing through emails to Aunt Mary. As Shirley’s cousin, we had some great times together when young. She was my bridesmaid, and even if we didn’t get to see each other that much after marriage, it was nice emailing as we got older. Kent & I always looked forward to her Xmas letter every year. We sure enjoyed reading about the great trips she had been on. Shirley will be missed.
