Robert (Bob) David Hantelmann, beloved husband of Betty Egan of Calgary, passed away in her arms at the Foothills Medical Centre on Sunday, November 28, 2004, after a long courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 63 years.
Bob was born in Regina, SK and moved to Calgary in the mid 1960′s. He worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for over thirty years, including Bantrel Inc., Canadian Occidental Petroleum LTD. and Shell Canada. For the past ten years, he owned in partnership, Executive Cuisine Catering. Bob was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #102.
Besides his loving wife Betty, Bob is remembered by his children, Bobbie-Lyn Welsh, Robert, Jodi (Darin) Bennett; his mother Opal Robb; his sister Linda (Bill) Chapman and her daughter Rhonda (James) Marrazzo; his six grandchildren, Jeramie and Megan Welsh, Doug, Amanda, Dustin, and Dallas Bennett. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Tom (Elisabeth) Egan; sister-in-law Kaye (Candice) Egan; and sister-in-law Kaireen (Gilbert) Essex. Bob was predeceased by his father Robert Hantelmann; step-father Al Robb; sister Carol Hantelmann; and special uncle William Snyder.
