Condolence Messages

  1. Tracey Wimperly :

I didn’t get to share much face time with Uncle Andy over the years, as we never lived in the same city. But, as I’ve become closer to Andrea (his daughter/my cousin), I’ve gotten to experience him through her daily interactions with him – and the stories she shared with me.

A few months ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to see him again in Calgary. To me, he hadn’t changed at all… a little older and maybe a bit more addled, but he had that incredible twinkle in his eye and still that trace of the Scottish brogue. He was one of a kind!

You’ll live on for me, Uncle Andy, in the stories we will continue to share.

  3. I want to share my genuine sadness at the loss of Uncle Andy. He was a man that made me feel welcome in his home and loved with his hugs whenever I saw him. I can only imagine the sorrow in your loss of your Dad and am deeply sorry I wasn’t able to attend the funeral to convey my condolences in person. The Palmer Family sends Love your way. Bye bye Uncle Andy you were and are undeniably Loved.

  4. Margaret & David Campbell & Family :

Dear Andrea & John, Max & Pina, Fraser,
    Glenda and the children.

Your Dad entered my life in Scotland as the best friend of my brother Duncan. They attended Glasgow Tech together. I was probably around 11 or 12 at the time and I secretly hung on Volmer’s every word. He was a tall, blond Dane with sparkling eyes and gorgeous! and I recall him telling me stories of Denmark. I admit he was my very first boy crush and bless him for being so kind to a little girl.

I’m telling this silly story as I think of our family friendship both in Scotland and later in Canada. Andy always had a smile and a hug and so did his lovely wife Grace whose wonderful sense of humour and friendship helped a lot when you were a bit homesick.

Dear Andrea, Max and Fraser: Uncle David and I, Lesley and Lynden send love and hugs for the times we shared when you were all children. The whole family send deepest sympathy for your loss and ours. Our family donation will be sent to Alzheimer Society in Toronto.
    God Bless. With Forever Love,
    The Campbells. Risingers. Palmers,
    Risinger Jnr Family
    Jarman Family
    Monette Family
