HAMILTON, Darlene Adele (nee Davis)

August 1, 2014 – Calgary, AB

Darlene Hamilton of Calgary quit smoking on Friday, August 1, 2014, dying young, as late as possible. Darlene grew up in the dirty 30’s, a period that informed her values and views all her life. Her favourite way to spend time was a good party. She collected relationships and had many friends.

Darlene had three children, all surviving her: Bill (Barb) Winters, Jan Winters, and Patti-Jean (Shane) Hetherington; six grandchildren: Stephanie, Katie, Lisa, Davis, Riley, and Thomas; and great-granddaughter Legacy. She is also survived by her brother, Dennis (Barb) Davis of Summerland, B.C., and his family. Darlene was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Jean Davis.

The family would like to thank her caregivers and her friend and doctor, Dr. Jean-Pierre Leung, for all the compassion and help they provided Darlene.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Please wear something bright.
