We are saddened to announce the passing of Peter Ross Hallock on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the age of 67, at the Foothills Medical Centre, from complications of heart surgery.
Peter was born December 29, 1945 in Winnipeg, MB to Jerry & Mina Hallock. Peter Started his career as an electrician with McCain Electric, He spent several years at Honeywell before joining the Health Sciences Centre eventually becoming the Director of Maintenance. Peter was the Facilities Manager at Lions Centre, Remand Centre and Polo Park Shopping Centre. In 2002, Peter moved to Calgary and began a successful career as a Facilities Project Manager with Fortis Alberta. In January 2013 be began a contract with Westmount Charter School, which he said was the best job of his career. He loved the children and staff. Peter was President of IFMA, and an active member of Springs Church Calgary.
Peter is survived by his loving wife Gayle, son Jeff (Sandra), daughter Shannon D’Ignazio, daughter Sheila Sousa (David) and grandchildren Kristian, Matthew, Peyton and father Marcello D’Ignazio, Kalen & Aidan Sousa, Sister Linda Koley (Lawrence), brother Jerry (Beverly), Brother Donald, Brother Jim (Marilyn), Brother-in-law Ron Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews
Peter was preceded in death by his Parents Mina and Jerry, and his in-laws Dorothy & Kenneth Jackson.
A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. Pastor Leon Fontaine to officiate.
