HALE, Lillian Elizabeth ‘Bunny’

August 15, 1926 – December 28, 2014

Bunny passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 28, 2014, at the age of 88 years.

Bunny enjoyed over 25 years of retirement after retiring from Gulf Canada in 1988. Bunny volunteered in many ways throughout her life including being an enthusiastic member of IODE for 49 years, serving 16 years as a volunteer at BraeCentre Community Police Station and 14 years of dedicated service at Rockyview General Hospital.

Bunny is survived by her four children; Susan Glowa, Bruce Hale (Rene), Jane Hunter (Jim), Brian Hale (Heather) and six grandchildren; Brittany and Colin Hale, Megan and Michael Hunter (Brianne), Walker and Logan Hale, and her brother Brian Robb (Anne).

Bunny was predeceased by her sister and brother in law Dorothy and ‘Puck’ Newson, nephew, Bob Newson, brother and sister in law Bob and Jean Robb, and son in law, Tom Glowa.

A Celebration of Bunny’s Life will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church (903 – 75th Ave S.W. Calgary) on Friday January 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Poppy Fund, #1, 4539 – 6 Street N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 3Z6, Telephone: (403) 265-6304. The family would like to thank all Bunny’s wonderful friends, who were such an important part of her life, the caring staff at Trinity Lodge, where she lived for the past 2½ years, and Rockyview General Hospital.
