It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Amiline Kerio Hajjar on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the age of 76 years at Foothills Medical Centre.
She will be dearly missed by her children Ghassan, Jenan (David), Ghada (Carlos) and George as well as her grandchildren John, Jennifer, Chantel and Daniel. She will also be dearly missed by her extended family including all the Kerio families, Hajjar families, Qafaiti family, Doumat family, Sado family, Badlisi family, Karo family and Kazo family.
Amiline was born in Aleppo, Syria on January 1, 1938. She immigrated to Canada with her beloved husband Hanna Hajjar to continue her journey. She was one of eight siblings including Joseph, Josephine, Adeeb, Kerio, Aboud, Fouad and Laurice. She loved life and enjoyed taking care of her family. Her home was always open to visitors and a warm place for family and friends to gather. Her open heart and mind made her an extraordinary woman that had so much love for anyone who knew her.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church (402 Meredith Road N.E.) on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
