A POEM, I AM WITH YOU STILL (author unknown): “I give you this one thought to keep, I am with you still–do not weep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on golden grain. I am the gentle autumn’s rain. When you awaken in morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the stars that shine at night. Do not think of me as gone–I am with you still–in each new dawn.” – With loving thoughts from Ruth, Ian and Peter

Just as I was getting to know you again he took you away from me, but I will cherish all the time we did have together in the past few years, the good laughs at the cabin, your smile, your stories, and most of all your big heart. We will all miss you and meet again one day xo

Lori, Terry, Cathie and Greg – I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing.
About 3 months after Shirley’s death, I attended a memorial service the Grey Nun’s hospital held for patients who had died over the previous 6 months. Included in that service was a song that meant a lot to me and helped me in my grieving process. I would like to share the chorus with you:

“Walk in the world for me
    Sing a happy melody
And keep my memory not far away
May you find that life will bring
    All the best of everything
Take special care of you for me today”

Keep your mom alive in your memories.

    Larry, Ryan and Lara

  4. Lori D. Roadhouse :

    I wish you
    sweet dreams of your mother
Where she’s radiant with happiness –
    and you are, too,
    at being together again,
    where you can touch her
    and she strokes your hair
and the two of you talk
    about anything and everything.

    I wish you
    sweet dreams of your mother,
    where your longing
    to have her near
    Is fulfilled.

    And when you awaken,
    you can still feel
    her touch,
    and it makes you feel
    loved all day.

    Marilyn, my dear dear sister.
I will miss your kindess, smiles and laughter. The talks we shared every week, your love of the mountains and the ocean.
Walking on the beach kicking our shoes off, walking in the water looking for sand dollars and tiny crabs. We all had great fun didn’t we? How you loved watching the little birds the squirrels and the deer, just of all of nature. I always remember when we were on the ferry and you keep saying isn’t this beautiful!
I know how you loved good food and to travel and one of your favorite places was Mexico, the scenery, the kind people there, and again the ocean.
There were so many things I loved about you Marilyn, you were a beautiful person. We will miss you so much. We Loved you very much,
    Diane and Jerry

  15. Muriel Tataryn :

Where do I begin…. a true, lasting friendship that goes back a few months short of 60 years. I have been truly blessed in knowing Marilyn. Beyond her beauty, which she didn’t seem to even notice, there was, of course her rich laughter and genuine smile. Coupled with caring and kindness. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Bob also, was privileged and thankful to get to know her over the years.
Something I wrote quite some time ago rings true as I reflect and remember my dear friend –
    Strange thing about death.
    It robs the survivor
    of life also
    for unknown seasons.

To all her dear family and Austin, hold fast to those memories that warm your hearts bringing some peace to your soul. Take care as best you can. Allow her memory to live on.

    With love and caring,
    Bob and Muriel Tataryn

  16. Austin Griffith April 15, 1993-May 31st 2011 :

    Memories that will not fade.

Tropical sunsets, ocean and mountain views, carefree vacations.

Most of all to be by your side, with your smile and sometimes a frown.

18 years, 1 month, 15 days and 11 hours of happiness seems too short….
18 months, 14 days, 11 hours of your suffering breaks my heart and leaves me empty inside.

So long sweetie, not goodbye, until we are reunited in God’s hands.

    Love forever,
    Austin
