  2. Colleen, Pam, Randy,

I can’t put into a few words all that Geoff meant to me in our younger years. My initial brief thoughts, since I just learned of his passing, are that for many, many years he was my best friend and confidante, and the best times of our youth and young adulthood were shared together. It is impossible to remember my youth without Geoff front and center. As Pam knows, we did everything together, and if Geoff wasn’t hanging out with me, it was with Terry. In his prime Geoff was simply a gorgeous creature, both physically and character-wise. He was fun, loyal, adventurous, and attracted women without even trying to do so. Through Vin he picked up a passion for cars and engines, and my fondest memories are of tooling around with him in the TR6 a hundred years ago, back when Vin and Frieda were still with us. If there is a heaven, at least they are together again.

I don’t know what exactly was the cause of his passing, but I suspect it was a long term consequence of the work accident that debilitated him so severely. I know that after that he wouldn’t have made it as far as he did without Colleen, and I am very grateful that at least she came into his life around that time.

Further words fail me at the moment.

  3. On the night of the day that Geoff passed away I went out to walk my dog and noticed a light slowly crossing across the sky. It wasn’t an airplane.. there were no running lights, and anyway it was too high in the sky. Maybe it was a comet, but it was as bright as a star and I can’t remember seeing anything quite like it before. It lasted for nearly a minute as it made it’s way from north to south. I didn’t hear about Geoff’s passing until two days later. Rest well my friend.

    Dear Colleen,
My deepest condolences. Thank you for caring so much for Geoff.

  4. Pauline Robinson :

We were very sorry to hear the sad news and would like to send our condolences to Colleen and other members of the family. We first knew Geoff as a boy but then did not meet him for many years as we are a branch of the family who stayed in the UK. Lily Robinson was Geoff’s aunt, sister to Freda. We met Geoff and Colleen on a more recent visit to Canada and were glad we were able to catch up after all the years. We did not know this would be the last time. So sorry.
