Asela Guarin, beloved wife of the late Leonardo Guarin of Binmaley, in the Philippines passed away on Monday, October 1, 2007 at the age of 59 years.
Asela was born on December 6, 1947 in Binmaley, Pangasinan, in the Philippines. In 1978 she left for Athens, Greece and worked there for seven years. Immigrating to Canada in 1985, Asela was employed by Roger and Debbie Bloom to take care of their two sons and daughter. Ever since her move to Canada, Asela missed the love and warmth of her children who she left in the Philippines at a young age. They were her greatest love and even though the separation was difficult, this was the sacrifice she made to ensure a good future for her family.
Asela is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lenie and Nestor; her two sons and a daughter-in-law Francis and May, Frederick; her three grandchildren Kitkat, Bianca, Heart; and her extended family Roger Bloom, Debbie Bloom, Tyson Bloom, Katelyn Bloom, Joel and Alicia Vinluan. She was predeceased by her husband Leonardo in 2006.
