Grovue, John George

John George Grovue passed away peacefully in his sleep one week before his 77th birthday, following a ten week battle with stomach cancer.

John was born on the farm at Leask, Saskatchewan. He moved to Calgary fifty years ago. He became an ‘MD’ (Metal Dealer) and enjoyed his independence. John had seven siblings, some of which have predeceased him. He had friendly neighbours and good customer relations with his scrap metal and muffler shop clients.

A private family graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. A special thanks to the kind caregivers at the Peter Lougheed Hospital and the Carewest Sarcee Hospice.

    I have for several years been searching for George Grovue who I worked with in Papua New Guinea in 1968. He left that year when I was on leave and I have not been able to find him since. Talk was he went to Sydney Australia.
