Condolence Messages

  1. Mike Rafuse :

I am truly sorry for Sids passing, the best memory I have is when he curled for me in Lethbridge, he thought he could out drink me so we went shot for shot on the bus down, needless to say Sid was too sick to curl all weekend long, I’ll never forget him, he was a good man.

We enjoyed curling with them in Pentiction. I have a picture of the four of us in our St. Paddy outfits. They were so much fun and we will miss them.

My angels are with you, Darcy and your family. Sid is in a great place where he can bet on the horses and have a beer with my Barry.

  7. Rick and Wendy Bunney :

We are both so sorry to hear of Sid’s passing. Many, many memories of Sid’s career at the racetrack come to mind, most certainly the ones where Sid would tell me what I was doing wrong, and he was always right. “You’re going to be sorry if you do that!” was a favorite. We will both miss Sid, he was a great guy, and I know he is with Irene now, having a beer and dancing away into the sunset. Our sincere sympathies to his entire family. R.I.P. Sid, we will miss you.

    Barb, Lynn and Darcy,

So sorry for your loss. As I’m sure you know both my mom and dad have passed so I can truly relate to the sadness you must be feeling. I often think of your dad as he was the first to give me a whisker rub. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
