  3. To all of you in the family, may I offer my deepest sympathy!
This is Ron Purvis, who was Karin’s German teacher at Beaverbrook. I was actually just looking to see if the obituary of someone else was online when I saw the notice about Peter.
Karin, do you remember Ruth Wilson who came to the German dinners, and was the female chaperone on that camping weekend? Ruth just died a couple days ago here in BC (they had moved out in the past year.)
I have been in Mission BC for 25 years now, retired and showing and competing with my dogs (Siberian Huskies and Keeshonden.)
Again, I express my condolences to all of you at this very sad time!!!!

  4. Renate and family
I feel your pain. I too lost my husband when he died suddenly on July 13, 2001 doing what he loved too – camping in the rockies. It is so hard but know that Peter died doing what he loved and in the most beautiful place on earth.
All the best to you and your family. You are in my prayers.
    Mary O’Regan

  5. Hanspeter Karner from Axams, Tyrol, Austria :

    Peterle, my old, brave friend.
I remember the times when we first met, up there in the Rockies, many years ago. It was a cold, clear night, the moon and the stars, the darkness. And among all that there was you. A big, warm and enlighted heart.
Since that time we had so many things to tell each other, you became an important part of my life. It was always your far away voice and your experiences which helped me fixing my way and gave me different points of view, even during the hard times. But now you are on your way. I will return to the mountains some day, and I know you are out there, somewhere, and we both will see the same moon again. Farewell, my friend, farewell. I will always miss you. Thank you so much for that part of the way.
    Peterlein from Axams.
