GRACE, Phillip Michael

February 17, 1930 – January 31, 2013

Phillip Michael Grace passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Foothills Medical Centre at the age of 82 years.

Phil was born in Calgary, attended Holy Angels School and St. Mary’s Boy’s School. After leaving school he joined the Navy. He returned to Calgary and began work with A.G.T., retiring in 1988. Phil loved to putter in the garden, make bird houses, tin men and trunks for his family.

Phil is survived by his loving wife and best friend of fifty-nine years Joyce; six children, Marie Reppon, Robert and Carol Grace, Michelle, Michael, Tracy and Terry Larson, and Nadine and Richard Virgo; ten grandchildren, Anne-Marie (Shane) Paton, Melissa Reppon, John (Natasha) Reppon, Samantha Grace, Matthew Grace, Jaime-Lee Larson, Denise Grace-Virgo, Elizabeth, Veronica and Rebecca Virgo; four great-grandchildren, Shessa Paton, Devin Reppon, Madison and Sierra Reppon; and a very special friend of the family Dylan Rambow.
Phil was predeceased by his parents Helen and Jack; his brothers Jim and Gary; and his son-in-law Bill Reppon.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
