    To the Family,

Fred taught us many things, ambition, commitment to a purpose and most importantly taking time to spend with friends. He was an active Gyro and did it all. Fred and Hazel gave us the perfect model for friendship. Saturdays services, for us it will be a first, celebrating a life that extended over 100 years. It was a life filled with every possible experience.

  3. To Norm and family, my sincere condolences on the passing of Fred Gossett at the age of 102. Although I never met Fred, his life story explains how I came to meet Norm while working in the trucking industry. To be married for 77 years is an inspiration for all of us.

  4. Murray W. Lovelace :

Received notification from Calgary of Fred’s passing. On behalf of the remaining Lovelace clan ( and my late parents) we would like to pass on our condolences. My parents, Wally and Jessie, first met Fred and Hazel as neighbours during the hard times of the 30’s at Wellington Terrace off 10th Street NW. Times got better but the four continued to visit in the 50’s and 60’s, occasionally thereafter. I know the folks regarded Fred and Hazel as solid hard working people they were glad to know. We are sure their sons were proud of them and trust they and their families have many happy memories to ease the sorrow of Fred’s passing.

    Gordon and Norman and families,
My sincere condolences on the loss of your father. Your mom and dad and my mom and dad (Wallace and Jessie Lovelace) were friends away back. They thought highly of them both. It is hard to lose parents but I hope you find comfort in knowing others think highly of them too and respect their accomplishments

  7. Ed and Sylvia Blasken :

We will always have our fond memory of Fred singing and dancing at a February Gyro function. We all dressed as we would have when we met our date of the evening. Fred declined to dance but Hazel had her special charm, and soon they were on the dance floor. How much more wonderful can life get. As a couple Fred and Hazel were an inspiration to many of us. They are now united again. Our condolences to all their family.
