October 19, 1946 – December 18, 2012
Robert Hugh Goodwin, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 66 after a long battle with cancer.
He leaves his loving family: wife, Carol; daughter, Denea (Jules) Rochette; son, Mart (Sandra) Goodwin; and grandchildren, Nicolas and Jonathan Rochette and Noah Goodwin. He is also survived by his brother, Gordon; and two sisters, Louise and Cheryl.
Bob and Carol moved from Saskatchewan to Calgary in 1969. Bob worked for 25 years as a diesel mechanic, going on to drive school buses and work as a security guard until he retired in 2007. Bob and Carol enjoyed traveling south in the winters and spending summers as Volunteer Campground Hosts at Crimson Lake, AB. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, many hours spent camping, hiking, hunting and fishing where he was in his glory. His other passion was his three grandsons whom he adored and who equally adored him. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
