While attending a nursing module at the Calgary General Hospital in 1969 she met and married Roy Goodall. They immediately moved to Ottawa where she graduated as a RN at the Ottawa Civic hospital in 1972. During the next 38 years Ann worked in a children’s hospital, several general hospitals, a school, a hospice, and several nursing homes. After Roy’s military career ended in 2000 and they returned to Calgary, Ann commenced working for a general medical unit at the Foothills Medical Centre. In 2008, Ann obtained a Bachelor of Nursing from the U of C. Her tenure as a Nurse Clinician ended in 2010 when she required cardiac surgery.
