Raymond “Michael” Glasser beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend of Calgary died suddenly on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the age of 57 years.
Michael was born in Lampman, SK, on June 7, 1951. Michael was an extraordinary man with an unshakeable faith in Jesus, which he shared with those around him. He welcomed and had time for all people, friend or stranger. Michael had deep compassion and empathy for people, and he was always the first to help in any way that he could. He supported many charitable organizations, but more, it was the gift of his simple everyday acts of kindness that deeply impacted the people who knew him. Through his passion for life and his sense of humour, Michael brought an abundance of happiness to those around him and inspired others to be better people. He lived love and forgiveness, took immense pride in his work, and was a master at the game of chess. A man of profound integrity, he was a blessing in the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Michael is survived by his loving wife Angela; children, Sarah (Colin), Joel (Melissa), and Joshua; stepchildren, Laura and Daniel; grandchildren, Jackson, Christopher, and Mark; father Joseph; siblings, Kathy (Mitch), Pat, Gerry (Marlene), Eileen (Wayne), Jim (Audrey), Terry (Monique), Ken (Wanda), and Joanne (Dave); as well as by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Frances in October of 2006.
