Grace Giokas passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the age of 87 years.

Grace was born in Elbow, Saskatchewan on December 17, 1926. She lived in North Battleford, SK for several years raising her family and working as a secretary to the Mayor. She married George Giokas in 1977 in Calgary and moved to High River AB in 1992 where they resided until July 2011 when they moved to the Scenic Acres Retirement Residence in NW Calgary, AB.

Grace is survived by her loving husband, George; her children, Joan Tape, June (Jim) Cabay, Sharon (Del) Atwood, Patti (Ed) Vandenberghe and Terry (Donna) Bradburn; her step-children, Richard, Gary (Karen), Greg (Claire), Marina and Steven (Carol); thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Evans; grandson Jason Tape; and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
