    Dearest Elfie:
Elfie, you and I worked in the same office at the FHH. I was Lorraine Melchoir’s secretary and you were Doug McMillan’s. I am expressing my sincere sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your dearly beloved husband. I am now living in Okotoks since July of 2008 and like it very well. We wanted to be closer to our kids and living in Lethbridge was too far away in case something needed immediate attention. My prayers are with you during this very difficult and sad time one has to face in their lifetime. I hope that God will help you in your turmoil and give you strength to carry on in life. Elfie, my phone number is 4039952410. It would be nice to hear your voice after so many years. Do take good care of yourself Elfie and may God Bless You,
    Donna Marie Dys

  3. Dear Effie,
I am thinking of you and your family at this time of loss.
It was a privilege to have met you both and to witness the love and devotion you had for one another during this difficult journey of Gordon’s illness.
It is my sincerest hope that he passed peacefully and that the comfort of family was only an arm’s reach away for you.
May God continue to grant you strength and courage, and a lightness of heart.
It is a time of endings and beginnings.
    Take care of yourself Effie.
